At Michaels Gems and Glass we know glass is heavy and gorgeous at the same time.
We have sought out glass sources and know American glass companies are the best in the world and the glass is already here. The suncatchers below on left are hand pressed in New England and the original glass is from the West Virginia glass capitals. Michael made this faceted glass lamp from "dalles de verr" glass slabs from Blenko Glass in WVA. That strip above is a close up of the glass properties and color. L.C. Tiffany used the same techniques to get a 3-d dimension to his works. Many modern faceted glass church windows are cast using this beautiful 1" thick glass from Blenko.
